DT | OCTA Research claims that DSWD has the highest public satisfaction rate | MANILA – The public is most satisfied with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), according to OCTA Research’s Tugon ng Masa poll, which came out on Thursday.
The poll, which took place from December 10–14, 2023, found that 86 percent of people were satisfied with the DSWD and 82 percent trusted it.
Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications at DSWD Romel Lopez said that the poll results were a tribute to the “angels in red vests” who work hard for the department.
According to Lopez, the DSWD’s new programs like the Food Stamp Program, the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program, and Project Pag-Abot helped the department get the highest satisfaction rate among government agencies. He said this at the DSWD’s Thursday Media Forum.
“So that the expectations of these people indicated in the series of positive surveys for the DSWD won’t fail,” he said. The DSWD would keep coming up with new ways to protect the weak, poor, and disadvantaged.
DSWD’s social protection programs have met the needs of Filipinos, especially the poor, the disadvantaged, and the vulnerable, he said, adding that the poll is proof of this.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) are also in the Top 5 organizations.
The five departments that people trust the most are DPWH, CHED, DSWD, DOH, and DepEd.
“We thank the Filipino people on behalf of the whole DSWD for appreciating and recognizing the important role of every angel in red vest in meeting the needs of the marginalized and making sure the welfare of every Filipino, especially during hard times,” Lopez said. (via PNA)
